The Low-carbon EnergyMaterials and Systems Forum, a sub-forum of the 2022 International YouthScholars Forum was held online by SSPU on March 30 and 31. The forum wasorganized by the School of Energy and Materials andmoderated by Dean Wang Yuanyuan and Vice Dean Chen Lifei. Members of the School’sAcademic Committee, and teachers and graduate students of related programsattended the meeting.
DeanWang Yuanyuan started the meeting with an introduction to the School includingits history, programs and centers, faculty, education and teaching, scientificresearch, etc. Focusing on new energy materials and devices that might helpachieve the carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets, 19 youth doctoralstudents from Nanjing University, Harbin Institute of Technology, PurdueUniversity, École Centrale Marseille, and other famous universities at home andabroad delivered academic reports on energy conversion materials, devices andsystems like solar photovoltaic and thermal utilization, efficient energystorage materials and devices, materials and systems for thermal management of electronicdevices, and thermophysical properties-related big data. These youth scholarsalso discussed their topics with the teachers and students of the School ofEnergy and Materials, which helped improve their ability to carry out academiccommunication and research.
The School of Energy andMaterials has always attached great importance to developing its faculty teamby exploring the system and mechanism to pool talented persons and let themplay a role. It focuses on creating an international employment environment to stimulatethe innovation vitality of the talents. The School welcomes ambitious youthscholars to work hand in hand with each other for a better development of SEM.
