Chen Yong, male, CPC member, associate researcher, graduated from the Philosophy Department of Fudan University, majoring in Philosophy of Science and Technology, Master of Philosophy. He has served as Assistant Director of the Student Affairs Department of Shanghai Polytechnic University, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the College of Science, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University, Editor-in-Chief of the University Newspaper, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the University, Deputy Secretary of the Party School of Shanghai Polytechnic University, and is currently the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Materials.

He has presided over a number of projects supported by SMEC and SEDF and published many papers. He has been honored as Excellent Communist Party Member of Shanghai Polytechnic University (2011), Shanghai Youth May Fourth Medal (2013), Excellent Party Worker of Shanghai Polytechnic University, Excellent Party Worker of Shanghai Education and Health Party Committee, Excellent Party Worker of Shanghai Municipality (2021), and Excellent Party Worker of Shanghai Municipality (2021).
