Recently,China Energy Research Institute announced the list of approved energypopularization education bases of China Energy Research Institute in 2024, andthe "New Energy Utilization Popularization Education Base" declaredby our institute was listed among them after evaluation and publicannouncement.

Theapproved bases focus on the theme of "dual-carbon" science andtechnology, relying on the advantageous resources of Materials Science andEngineering disciplines of the College,relying on the latest cutting-edge technologies and scientific andtechnological innovations in the field of new energy utilization, organizingscience popularization teams to develop a series of science popularizationcourses and carrying out a series of science popularization study activities,so as to penetrate into the youth group of science popularization education,and cultivate their low-carbon and environmental protection awareness, and atthe same time enhance public awareness and acceptance of clean energy and greenlifestyle. At the same time, it raises public awareness and acceptance of cleanenergy and green lifestyle, and promotes the transformation of energy structureand green development.

The EnergyPopularization Education Base of China Energy Research Association aims to makefull use of the popular science education resources in the energy industry,publicize and popularize the scientific and technological knowledge of energy,and play the leading role of popular science base as a model. In the next step,our university will further integrate advantageous resources, improve theconstruction of science popularization infrastructure for new energyutilization, build a professional science popularization talent team, carry outscience popularization education activities with clear theme content andmultiple forms for young people both inside and outside the university,constantly innovate the way of science popularization work, enhance the abilityof science popularization service, and make positive contributions to improvingthe scientific literacy of all people in the field of energy science andenhancing the public cognition of the utilization of new energy sources. Atotal of 12 Energy Science Education Bases were named, including 3 in universities,with the demonstration period of base construction from 2024 to 2028.
