On the afternoon of July 7,researcher Yang Peizhi, Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Technologyand Preparation of Renewable Energy Materials of the Ministry of Education ofYunnan Normal University, came to the academy for an exchange visit.
First of all, Dr. Peizhi Yang wasinvited to give a report on "Low-dimensional Materials and TheirApplications in Energy Conversion" for the 36th Academic Salon of theacademy in Room 210 of Building 28.
In his presentation, Yang Peizhifocused on several typical low-dimensional materials and their applications andmulti-walled carbon nanotubes for thermal management of chalcogenide films. Hepointed out that sustainable human development in the future requires us torely on renewable energy sources once again. Low-dimensional materials havebroad application prospects in the field of energy, and innovations in thepreparation methods of low-dimensional materials will help to broaden theirapplication areas.
Afterwards, Researcher Yang Peizhihad a discussion with Chen Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of theCollege, Yu Wei, Head of Scientific Research, Xu Jinguang, Deputy Dean, andSong Mengxuan, Director of the New Energy Science and Engineering Teaching andResearch Department.
Yu Weiintroduced in detail the structure of the college, the construction ofspecialties and the declaration of degree programs, distinctive programs, thehistory and progress of the college's research in the field of graphene, theplatform construction of the college and examples of the application ofindustry, academia and research.
Yang Peizhiintroduced the professional laboratories of the Key Laboratories of AdvancedTechnology and Preparation of Renewable Energy Materials of the Ministry ofEducation of Yunnan Normal University, faculty and staff, the laboratoryconstruction history as well as the mode of integration of industry andeducation.
Finally,the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges around the construction of keylaboratories and scientific research platforms, and had a detailed discussionon the joint laboratories construction, talent training and facultyconstruction of the two sides.
