On December 6-8, 2024 China Engineering Thermophysics Society Heat and Mass Transfer Conference and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Project Progress Exchange Meeting was held in Nanjing. The conference was organized by the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and co-organized by Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) with the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in the area of Engineering Science. President of NUIST, Prof. Xie Huaqing, Dean of School of Energy and Materials, Prof. Wang Yuanyuan, and other teachers and students attended this event.
The conference focuses on convective heat transfer, heat and mass transfer in porous media, radiation heat transfer, industrial applications and heat transfer technology, heat conduction, phase change heat transfer, micro and nano-scale heat and mass transfer, numerical computation, biomass transfer/measurement and display technology, energy storage materials and technology, and other 10 topics for exchange, while also organizing the progress of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects under research, exhibition and other academic exchange activities.
President Xie Huaqing was co-opted as Deputy Director of the Heat and Mass Transfer SubCommittee of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics (CSET) at the plenary session of the CSET Heat and Mass Transfer Sub-Committee held during the conference.President Xie Huaqing presided over the Recommended Youth Outstanding Thesis Oral/Exhibition Report as the President; Prof. Bao Hua and Mr. Song Mengxuan were invited to attend the meeting.
