The 8th Youth Academic Forum on Heat and Mass Transfer of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics was held in Qingdao from April 4 to 6, which was hosted by the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics. The Youth Committee of the Heat and Mass Transfer Branch of China Society of Engineering Thermophysics, organized by China University of Petroleum (East China), has attracted more than 600 experts and young scholars from 138 universities and research institutes nationwide.

On the morning of April 5, the opening ceremony of the Forum was ceremoniously held, attended by Zhang Xing, director of the Division of Heat and Mass Transfer of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and professor of Tsinghua University. The forum will be held in the form of invited reports, group reports and seminars for young scholars, with one main conference venue and eight sub-conference venues, and over 80 academic presentations. Professor He Maogang of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Cao Bingyang of Tsinghua University, Professor Li Haiwang of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Qi Rong Hui of South China University of Technology, and Professor Gong Liang of China University of Petroleum (East China) gave invited lectures.

The forum was attended by Professor Xie Huaqing, Professor Wang Yuanyuan, Professor Wang Lingling, Professor Song Mengfu and Associate Professor Li Yifan. Professor xie huaqing served as the chair of the conference and the expert of the enhanced heat transfer division, and professor wang yuanyuan served as the chairman of the micro and nano heat transfer sub-conference.
