October 15-17, 2025 to deepen inter-institute cooperation, improve talent cultivation and discipline construction, and actively expand sources of high-quality students. Xu Jianguang, Vice President of the School of Energy and Materials, and Qian Weiwei, Deputy Secretary of the School of Aeronautics, successively visited Xinjiang Engineering College and Xi'an University of Aeronautics for research and exchange, and held postgraduate enrollment promotion activities.
The first station was to make an in-depth discussion between Xinjiang College of Engineering and the College of Energy and Engineering of the University in terms of discipline construction, talent training mode, cooperation in scientific research projects, laboratory management and student work. Xu Jianguang introduced the advantages and achievements of the school and college in discipline characteristics, research platform, faculty strength and postgraduate training. Gan Weiwei shared his experience in ideological and political education, innovation and entrepreneurship practice, and career guidance services for students. Both sides expressed the hope that in the future, closer cooperation could be established in such areas as mutual visits of teachers, research and joint training of students, so as to jointly serve the national strategy and regional economic development needs.
Subsequently, the research team arrived at Xi'an Aviation College and held a seminar in the School of Materials Engineering of the University. The exchange focused on the application of new materials and new energy technologies in aerospace and the training of talents, and exchanged views on the construction of practical teaching system and the collaborative innovation of production, learning and research. Both sides agreed that the two universities have broad space for cooperation in relevant disciplines and will actively promote the implementation of specific cooperation projects in the future.
In the gap between the research and exchange, two universities held respectively in the Shanghai Second Polytechnic University graduate student recruitment seminar. The seminar attracted a large number of outstanding undergraduates who were interested in furthering their studies. The lectures gave a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the general situation of the school, the development history of the school, the characteristics of the discipline, the research direction, the tutor team, the scientific research conditions, the award system and the graduation prospect. And explained the 2026 graduate student recruitment policy, the application process and matters needing attention. During the interactive session, the team members patiently and carefully answered all kinds of questions that the students were concerned about, including review of professional courses, selection of research directions, campus life, etc., and actively interacted and gave good feedback.
The trip strengthened the mutual understanding and friendship between the Institute and related sister institutions, and laid a solid foundation for the follow-up multi-dimensional and in-depth cooperation. At the same time, it has played a positive role in attracting more excellent students to apply for the examination.
