On October 19, 2025, the Academic Salon of Phase 53 of the Energy and Materials Lecture Hall was held in Conference Room 210 of the Institute of Energy and Materials. The salon focused on the cutting-edge progress in the field of nanofiber materials, and invited three top scholars from home and abroad to conduct exchanges and academic reports, bringing together faculty, students and researchers in related fields. Discuss the frontier of the subject together. The academic salon was presided over by professor ding bin, vice president of the university.

In the warm atmosphere, the academic report link is splendid. Professor Kim Wing-shui, Academician of the Japanese Academy of Engineering and Vice-Chancellor of Shinshu University, delivered a lively and profound report on the theme of Application of Nanofibers in Composite Materials. The industrial application of nanofiber composites in different fields was introduced.

Professor Hyung Joon Cha, Academician of the Korean Academy of Engineering, made a report on the cutting-edge topic of Embolization of cerebral aneurysm via in situ photocrosslinking of hydrogel microfibers. The important research progress of hydrogel fibers in the field of biomedicine was demonstrated.

Professor Keqin Zhang, Dean of the School of Textile and Clothing Engineering of Soochow University, presented a report titled Radiant Heat Control and Energy Harvesting of Superstructure Textiles from an Interdisciplinary Perspective. In this paper, the important applications of nanofiber textiles as thermoelectric functional materials are introduced in detail.

The presentations by the three scholars are rich in content and have both academic depth and application value, not only showing the latest research results in the field of nanofibers, but also building a cross-university and cross-country academic exchange platform for the participants. After the lecture, the three professors answered questions from teachers and students, and had in-depth interaction with them.

Prior to the start of the salon, Vice President Ding Bin had in-depth discussions with Professors Kim Wing-shui, Hyung Joon Cha and Zhang Keqin about the intention of cooperation in the future. It has laid a foundation for further promoting academic exchange and scientific research cooperation. Yao Li, Director of the International Exchange Division, Chen Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Energy and Materials, and Professors Liu Yitao and Yu Wei attended the exchange.
